Eligibility Criteria

Assistant / UDC (and matching autonomous Assistant posts)

  • Graduation with minimum 60% marks or CGPA 6.32/10 from a recognised university
  • Degree completed within the prescribed course duration
  • Computer proficiency (use of computers)

Junior Personal Assistant / Stenographer (and matching autonomous JPA posts)

  • Graduation with 60% / CGPA 6.32 (course duration rules apply), or
  • Diploma in Commercial / Secretarial Practice with the same marks criteria plus one year experience as Steno-Typist/Stenographer (as defined in the notice; BOAT/NATS apprenticeship may count for certain diploma holders)
  • English stenography speed of at least 60 words per minute
  • Computer proficiency

3. Final merit

Merit is drawn from written-test marks among candidates who qualify the skill test. Ties: higher marks in GI & Reasoning (Assistant/UDC) or English (JPA/Steno), then older date of birth.

Skill-test attendees may get second-class rail fare (shortest route) as per rules; NOC required for serving government/PSU staff at skill test.

How to Apply Online

  1. Open isro.gov.in → ICRB / recruitment for Advt 01(A-JPA):2026.
  2. Read the full PDF (zone vacancies, backlog, exam scheme).
  3. Register with active email + mobile (hall tickets only by email/SMS).
  4. Choose post(s) and zone carefully — same post in two zones is not allowed; multi-post applicants need same written centre.
  5. Upload photo (≈20–50 KB JPG) and signature (≈10–20 KB JPG) in prescribed size.
  6. Upload category / disability / ESM certificates if applicable.
  7. Pay fee on Bharatkosh and finish submission before 16 Aug 2026, 11:55 PM.
  8. Print / save the confirmation page.
