AP PECET (APPECET) counselling 2026 is conducted through web-based counselling by Acharya Nagarjuna University on behalf of APSCHE for B.P.Ed and D.P.Ed admissions in university constituent and affiliated physical education colleges. Qualified candidates register online, verify certificates at helpline centres, exercise web options for colleges, and report to the allotted institution. Eligibility Criteria

B.P.Ed: appeared/passed 3-year degree (AP or equivalent) and 19 years age on 1 Jul 2026. D.P.Ed: appeared/passed Intermediate (AP) and 16 years age on 1 Jul 2026. AP local/non-local rules apply. In-service PETs need not appear — apply via DSE channel.

What is AP PECET (APPECET) 2026?

What is the AP PECET 2026 exam pattern?

The test has two parts: Physical Efficiency Test (400 marks) and Skill Test in one chosen game (100 marks). Men run 100m, shot put (6 kg), 800m, and long/high jump; women run 100m, shot put (4 kg), 400m, and long/high jump. Total 500 marks plus up to 100 incentive marks for sports/NCC distinctions.

What are AP PECET 2026 qualifying marks?

OC and BC candidates need 30% of aggregate test marks (150 out of 500). SC and ST candidates have no minimum qualifying marks but must obtain a valid rank for counselling.

Who is eligible for B.P.Ed through AP PECET?

When will AP PECET 2026 counselling start?

What is the difference between AP PECET and AP EDCET?

AP PECET is for B.P.Ed and D.P.Ed (physical education teaching courses). AP EDCET is for B.Ed (general education methodology). Both are APSCHE entrance tests but for different programmes.

Can in-service PET teachers skip AP PECET?

Yes. In-service Physical Education Teachers seeking B.P.Ed or D.P.Ed need not appear for APPECET. They apply directly to the Director of School Education through the DEO channel as per DSE notification.

Which games can I choose for the AP PECET skill test?

Choose exactly one: Ball Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, Football, Handball, Hockey, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Shuttle Badminton, Tennis, or Volleyball. You cannot change the game at the test centre.
