AP PGCET 2026 Counselling — Phase-1 Completed · Check CAP for Later Rounds

Who this guide is for

Use this page if you:

• APPGCET-2026 qualified candidates registering for Phase-1 PG counselling (MA, M.Sc, M.Com, M.Ed, M.P.Ed and allied)
• Candidates checking Phase-1 allotment and joining status on CAP, or waiting for a later round
• Students comparing APPGCET (arts/science/commerce PG) with AP PGECET (M.Tech / M.Pharm)
• Parents helping with documents, HLC verification and reporting deadlines

Use a different route if you:

• Candidates seeking M.Tech / M.Pharm — follow AP PGECET counselling, not APPGCET
• Candidates who did not qualify APPGCET-2026 and have no valid rank for this counselling stream
• Anyone asked to pay an agent for “guaranteed PG seat” — allotment is only through the official counselling login

Seat Allotment — How Merit Works

• Seat allotment uses APPGCET rank plus reservation, local area and the order of web options you submit
• Fill realistic college–course preferences — option order matters when seats are limited
• Complete certificate verification on time; unverified candidates may not get a valid allotment path
• If not allotted or not reported in Phase-1, watch the portal for later rounds if APSCHE notifies them
• Freeze / accept / self-report labels on the portal — read the live help text before you click

After Seat Allotment — Reporting Checklist

1. Registration, HLC verification and web options windows are completed for Phase-1
2. Download the allotment order from CAP (Phase-1 allotment: after 2 pm on 22 Sep 2026)
3. When live, download the allotment order from CAP / APPGCET login (save PDF + print)
4. Report to the allotted college with originals, photocopies and fee receipts (Phase-1 window: 22–25 Sep 2026)
5. Keep joining proof — classes began from 23 Sep 2026
6. If not allotted / cannot join: check portal rules for later rounds before the deadline passes

Mistakes to avoid

• Confusing APPGCET with AP PGECET — different exams and counselling portals
• Missing the 03–08 Sep registration window or HLC verification deadline
• Uploading unclear certificates and delaying verification until options close
• Filling random web options without checking programme eligibility for your rank / subject
• Paying anyone outside the official portal for allotment
• Skipping college reporting after allotment — Phase-1 reporting was due 22–25 Sep with originals
