Only Indian citizens are eligible as per the advertisement.
Educational qualification (as on 31 December 2026)
- Graduation in any discipline from a recognised university, or equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government.
- Integrated Dual Degree (IDD): date of passing on or before 31.12.2026.
- Final year / semester students may apply provisionally and must produce proof of graduation by 31.12.2026 if selected.
- Matriculate Ex-servicemen with Indian Army Special Certificate of Education (or Navy/Air Force corresponding certificate) after not less than 15 years of service in the Armed Forces, certificate dated on or before 31.12.2026.

Selection Process — SBI Clerk 2026
- Phase-I: Online Preliminary Examination
- Phase-II: Online Main Examination
- Phase-III: Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT) — only if you have not studied the opted local language in Class 10 or 12

Merit is state-wise and category-wise based on Main examination aggregate marks only. Prelims is for shortlisting (about 10 times vacancies, subject to availability). A wait list up to 50% of vacancies (state–category wise) may be kept for one year.
Trained SBI apprentices (engagement from 01.01.2022, one-year branch experience completed by 31.08.2026, NAC as per rules) may get 2.5% of 200 = 5 bonus marks on the Main exam aggregate if eligible under the PDF.
