- Selected officers are generally posted within the chosen state for nine years of service or until promotion to SMG Scale-IV, whichever is earlier.

Indian citizens (and other categories permitted in the advertisement — Nepal/Bhutan subjects, certain Tibetan refugees and persons of Indian origin — subject to Government of India eligibility certificate where required).

Education
- Graduate in any discipline from a university/institution recognised or approved by the Government of India or its regulatory bodies.
- Valid mark sheet / degree showing graduate status on the day of registration.
- Percentage to two decimals; convert CGPA as per university formula. Graduation result must be declared on or before 09.08.2026.
Local language
- Proficiency in the mandatory language of the applied state.
- Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT) if you did not study that language as a subject in Class 10 or 12.
- LLPT is qualifying; failure means no final selection, even with good written/interview scores.
Experience (as on 09.08.2026)
- Minimum one year post-qualification work in Clerical / Officer cadre in a Scheduled Commercial Bank or RRB listed under the Second Schedule of the RBI Act, 1934.
- Experience certificate in the prescribed format from the previous employer.
- Advance increments (max 2) may be given for prior officer service matching PNB Scale-I generalist profile, as per rules.
- Prior service is not counted for seniority.
