The Railway Recruitment Boards have issued an indicative notice for CEN No. 08/2026, a separate recruitment for Station Master at Pay Level 6 across all RRBs. It is an advance notice, not the full notification: eligibility, fee and selection details will come in the detailed CEN, so the useful thing to do now is get your Aadhaar in order (see below).

Level 6 is the same pay level as the Chief Commercial cum Ticket Supervisor post in RRB NTPC Graduate CEN 06/2026, where the notice gives the initial pay as Rs 35,400. CEN 08/2026 itself does not state the pay figure, so check the detailed CEN.
Station Master is not one of the posts in CEN 06/2026. If you want this post, you will need to apply under CEN 08/2026 separately.
Get your Aadhaar ready before 27 October
The notice asks candidates to verify their details with Aadhaar while filling in the form. Applications that are not Aadhaar-verified face detailed scrutiny at every stage, which RRB says leads to inconvenience and delays. For the verification to succeed:
- Your name and date of birth in Aadhaar must match your 10th class pass certificate 100%. A spelling difference, missing initial or different date is enough to fail.
- Your Aadhaar should carry your latest photo and latest biometrics (fingerprints and iris).
Compare your Aadhaar with your 10th certificate now. If anything differs, or your photo and biometrics are old, update Aadhaar first and apply after the update is complete.
What the detailed CEN will settle
The indicative notice says that all terms, conditions, eligibility, procedures and other requirements will be strictly as per the detailed CEN 08/2026 and any corrigendum. That includes the qualification, age limits and relaxations, medical standard, fee, RRB-wise vacancies and the selection process. The detailed CEN will be published on the common RRB website, rrb.indianrailways.gov.in, which links to each RRB’s own site. We will update this page when it is out.
Points to check
- Everything is tentative. The dates are marked “(Tentative)” and the vacancy count “(approx.)”. The final figures, including RRB-wise and category-wise vacancies, will come in the detailed CEN.
- No eligibility yet. Do not rely on qualification or age limits from earlier Station Master recruitments; the notice says the detailed CEN will decide them.
