Why DigiLocker shows up in so many apply forms

Boards and employers increasingly accept DigiLocker-issued PDFs for Aadhaar, mark sheets, and driving documents. Sign in with mobile / Aadhaar as the portal allows, pull the issued document, and share only through DigiLocker’s own share flow when a form asks for it.

PIN and Aadhaar OTP prompts are normal on digilocker.gov.in. They are not normal on look-alike domains. If the URL feels off, stop.

Is a DigiLocker Aadhaar PDF valid everywhere?

Many offices accept it; some still want a physical copy. Follow the checklist on the form you are filling.

Common problems

  • Aadhaar OTP does not arrive. DigiLocker sends it to the mobile linked to your Aadhaar. Update that number first.
  • A document still shows old details after a correction. Fetch the issued document again so banks and colleges do not verify an outdated copy.
  • A bank will not accept a scan you uploaded. Share the issued document through DigiLocker's consent screen instead; uploads are not verified copies.
  • Two accounts for one person. Keep a single account; duplicates cause mismatches when documents are fetched.
  • Someone charges to add Aadhaar or unlock a PDF. Fetching and downloading are free on digilocker.gov.in.
