UIDAI’s Check Email / Mobile Link page tells you whether a particular mobile number or email address is linked to your Aadhaar. It is free and needs no login. It is worth doing before anything that sends an Aadhaar OTP, such as downloading e-Aadhaar, bank e-KYC or a myAadhaar login.
The screenshot below was taken on the official portal on 7 October 2026 (captcha blurred). UIDAI renamed this service in its 2026 redesign; older guides call it “Verify Email / Mobile Number”.

The heading reads Check Email / Mobile Link — “Confirm the Mobile Number or Email ID linked with your Aadhaar”. Two tabs sit at the top of the form: Mobile (selected by default) and Email ID.
How to check a mobile number
- Open myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in and type “Check Email” in the Search services box. Check that the address bar ends in uidai.gov.in.
- Leave the Mobile tab selected.
- Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number. The eye icon in the box hides or shows the digits.
- Enter Mobile Number — the box already has +91, so type only the 10 digits.
- Note the line under that box: “You will receive verification code on your linked Mobile Number”. The code goes to the number linked with your Aadhaar, so keep that phone with you if you have it.
- Type the captcha (refresh or audio buttons are next to it) and continue.
- Follow the next screen. It confirms whether the number you typed is the one linked to your Aadhaar. If it is not, see what to do if it is not linked.
How to check an email address
Switch to the Email ID tab, enter your Aadhaar number and the email address you want to check, then complete the captcha in the same way. This is useful before tasks that send Aadhaar alerts to email.

If the number or email is not linked
The page’s own Have Questions? panel answers this directly: “You may visit the nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra or authorised Aadhaar Enrolment/Update centre for assistance.”

Common problems
